Marketing on the MLS® System vs Taking a Private Offer

Considering the option of private sale, especially in a hot buyers’ market can be very tempting. Afterall, when inventory is at historic lows, can’t anyone just sell a home? 

The better question to ask is do you believe the money you save on commissions will outweigh the additional equity you could lose by not listing on the MLS® System?

Other factors to consider are whether you have the time or skill to take care of all the little details that elevate your home’s desirability in any market and maximize your selling price. Finally, you also need to consider the high risk that comes with attempting to complete legal documentation and sales agreements necessary to complete a property sale without the proper training and experience to do so.
