Mckenzie Lake is located in Calgary’s southeast just off of Deerfoot trail, south of Fish Creek Park and east of Stoney Trail. This suburban neighborhood is well known for its 43 acre lake and 18 acre park which is exclusive to its community members. The lake is 28 feet at its deepest point with an average depth of 15 feet. Mckenzie Lake Community association offers recreational activities for the whole family all year round over and above the lake itself. The homes in this area vary greatly offering lots of opportunity at numerous price points. Higher end homes include estate properties over looking the valley with views of the Rocky Mountains and Harbours of Mckenzie Lake which offer private lake access. Middle to budget properties include, single family homes, and well appointed townhomes. Mckenzie Town is adjacent to Mckenzie Lake and offers many restaurants and shops for both communities to enjoy. The community is also close to Fish Creek Park, major city intersections and many schools. In 2014 the total population of Mckenzie lake was 14,189, the median age 37, and average house hold consists of 3.7 individuals.

Community Association

Residents of Mckenzie Lake will have access to the Mckenzie Lake Community Association. This multi-purpose community hub hosts a variety of activities for all ages, including soccer, girl guides, karate, yoga, stampede breakfasts, senior programs, movie nights and much more.

The community also enjoys over 15 parks including access to Fish Creek park and the Bow River.

Residents Association

The Mckenzie Lake Residents Association is a non-profit organization that provides a number of recreational services, programs and facilities for their members and guests. With access to the lake, tennis courts, basketball nets, beach volleyball and a toboggan hill during the winter. Mckenzie Lake itself is over 200 million gallons of water spread out over 43 acres, with an 18 acre park surrounding.
