Community Bio

Cranston is one of Calgary’s largest south-east communities nestled on a ridge, where residents can enjoy views of the Bow River Valley and the Rockies. The community is boarded by Stoney Trail to the north and Fish Creek Park and the Bow River to the west and south. To the east is Deerfoot Trail and the community of Auburn Bay . Since 2009 the community has grown by 68% and now has a total of 5,329 homes with 80% of those homes being single family and 89% being occupied by the owners of the property.

According to Calgary’s 2011 censes, the median age for this community is 32, the average house hold is made up of 3.1 people and 99% of the community speaks either English or French.

Century Hall

Residence of Cranston enjoy Century Hall, a private recreation facility with 22,000 sq. ft. of multi-use space and 7.25 acres of gated park. The facility offers fitness classes, private gymnasium, tennis courts, outdoor hockey and leisure skating rinks with a zamboni. The Hall hosts monthly events such as the Old Fashion Corn Boil, Stampede event, Halloween Spooktacular, Mother Daughter Tea Party and much more.

The community also enjoys over 15 parks including access to Fish Creek park and the Bow River.

Riverstone

Riverstone is a newer addition to the community and is located along the shore line of the Bow River. Homes backing onto the river are 25ft above river level which is higher than the 100 year flood line. These homes are built by quality estate builders such as Calbridge Homes.
